EIGHT MOBILE TRENDS OF ‘08: Forbes has an article today identifying the top eight mobile trends of 2008 as picked by Christian Lindholm, who has 10 years with Nokia and was director of Yahoo’s mobile department from 2005 to 2007.

AOL JUMPS INTO MOBILE: Learn about AOL’s mobile application development project from geek Brian Osborne. He says the company’s motivation is advertising revenue that would be placed on all of the apps, through AOL of course.

DONALD DUCK GOES MOBILE: Arjan Olsder at the Mobile Games Blog writes about the Disney games for mobile devices slated for the first half of this year. Titles include: Lego Bionicle Defenders, Hannah Montana, Phantom Duck, Donald Duck’s Quest Deluxe, Duckburg, and a Narnia mobile feature that includes games.

LOCATION-BASED FRIENDS?: Could locating friends with mobile devices be the next social networking craze? That’s the subject of a Textually post today.

TINY iPHONE BUBBLES: Will at IntoMobile says that some iPhone owners are finding tiny bubbles forming on the glass display of the Apple phones. The post says that iPhone owners finding such problems are having the phones replaced, no questions asked, by Apple.

PALM NOT WELL-LIKED: Engadget notes a ChangeWave Research report finds Palm has the lowest customer satisfaction among mobile phone users. Joshua Topolsky writes that the news doesn’t come as much of a shock.

BLACKBERRY OUTAGE HUMOR: While the Canadians over at Research in Motion deal with the aftermath of a service outage felt across all BlackBerrys, GigaOM’s Chris Albrecht has a fun post of oneliners. The jokes are aimed at the BlackBerry campaign where people say “Why They Love Their BlackBerry.” GigaOM’s version is a collection “Why We Love Our BlackBerry Outage.”
